Design, develop, and/or test QA software applications or systems following standard procedures. Develop and execute all product assurance work products including writing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test summary reports for software applications to ensure functional, regulatory and customer requirements are met. Perform black box, white box, and adhoc testing. Investigate roots cause of problems and submit defects. Communicate and document test findings. Enhance automated tools to support testing. May provide technical leadership to a group. Develop test scripts, assist in creating test standards.

Employer will accept Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or related technical field, plus three years of work experience in job offered or in a computer-related occupation. In lieu of a Master’s degree plus three years of experience, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or related technical field plus five years of progressive, post baccalaureate work experience in job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Education or experience may include:

1) Developing and executing test plans, test cases, test scripts and test scenarios.
2) Quality Assurance Methodologies.
3) Development of computer software;
4) Object oriented programming languages (JAVA);
5) C programming language;
6) Data validation using SQL queries with RDBMS (SQL Server or Oracle);
7) Automated Tools (Win Runner or Rational Robot);
8) Quality Assurance Management Tools (Test Director or Test Manager);
9) Defect tracking systems (Quality Center, Test Director, or PVCS);
10) Software Development Lifecycle; and
11) HTML, XML.
