Responsibilities: Performs rough concrete laying and patch plastering. Assists in the installation of locks and door closers. Performs rough painting. Assists carpenter in tasks of construction, repair and maintenance of wood structures and articles. Performs less skilled electrical work such as repair and adjustment of electrical equipment and appliances. Installs ceilings and repairs lines, faucets and pipe fittings. Replaces sinks, fabricates and welds as required. EDUCATION: Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Requirements: Five years experience in the craft, to include three years experience as a Physical Plant Technician I at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center or equivalent. Skill in the practices, methods, materials, tools and equipment of the mechanic trade. .
