Requirements: Good presentation skills Knowledge of software Process & Configuration Management Good communication skills Comfortable in a lab environment ADA Requirements: Must either have an active DoD SECRET security clearance or have the ability to obtain one (must be a US Citizen) upon hire. Documented experience in software design, development, implementation, and test. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Experience with MS Office Suiterequired. Energetic positive-thinking person. Applicant must be able to function in a dynamic team environment. Experience with C/C ,Ada95and other high-order languages in an embedded application is highly desirable. Experience with UML, CORBA, and DO-178B is helpful. Experience with MIL-STD-1553 systems and Ethernet protocols are an advantage.Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.The majority of thetravel will be within the continental US. Ability to obtain active Department of Defense security clearance This Sr. software engineer will focus on activities related to the growing market of integrated avionics for Communication equipment for the US DoD and international customers. The engineer will work with a multifunctional team comprised of systems engineers, software engineers, hardware engineers, quality engineers, configuration management, and support engineers. Successful applicant will be responsible for performing all tasks normally associated with the software engineering discipline, with special emphasis being placed on integration of communications systems.Assignments are usually part of a larger engineering project including analysis of requirements, design, development, test, and documentation of moderate to complex software tasks pertaining to communications control software.
