Responsibilities : The Clinical Laboratory Technologist will: 1.Assist in accession, identification, and recording of information relating to patient specimens and test reports, using the laboratory information system. 2.Perform and report tests as received, according to established procedures following established quality control protocols to provide accurate results. 3.Use automated and manual instruments for procedures specific to tests in order to facilitate work flow. 4.Maintain instruments and equipment in good condition according to established procedures. 5.Keep accurate records of work performed. 6.Teach students during their clinical rotations. Must be licensed as a Medical Technologist by the New York State Department.

Requirements : 2 years experience in a hospital Chemistry Laboratory. Must be able to handle active Level 1 Trauma Center volume. Salary based on experience (1199). Experience with SoftLab computer system, Vitros Fusion and Bayer Centaur instrumentation preferred.
