Responsibilities : Winter Park Resort's Tour Center is now accepting applications for a part-time, winter seasonal Snowshoe Tour Guide to start November 23, 2009.  Hours include Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. A tour guide conducts tours using snowshoes or other devices, routes and schedules established by the Snow Tours Team Foreman, Winter Park Resort and Intrawest procedures.A tour guide must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the Winter Park Ski area and surrounding valley, is able to answer questions in a friendly, sincere, and helpful manner.Consistently follows all policies and procedures set forth in the Employee Handbook, the Tour Center Handbook, and Safety Manuals to provide an exciting and enjoyable experience for the guests, again and again.Job duties include:Performs daily routine maintenance, fueling, and oiling on snowmobiles in accordance with Winter Park policies and procedures, including any cleaning needs.Reports any problems with vehicles to Foreman.Parking and moving snowmobiles around base area and mountain in a safe and efficient mannerConducts scheduled tours and give facts and information to guests while snowshoe-ing or on snowmobiles in a safe and efficient mannerAssists in ticket sales areas helping guests and giving out informationPerforms occasional snow-packing, pre-season and seasonal, as directedMaintains a friendly, congenial, and helpful attitude while effectively dealing with the guests and other employeesTransports guests or employees around mountain per ski patrol, with events, or per supervisorsBecomes familiar and use snowmobiles, snowshoes, hand tools, office equipment daily.

Requirements :Must be at least 18 years of ageHigh School Diploma or GED is requiredMust have a driver license and be able to operate a motor vehicleOne year residence in Fraser Valley desirableMust be able to meet physical requirements of job including standing, walking, and talking the majority of the day and carrying, lifting, or push/pull heavy items and equipmentMust be able to withstand extreme cold and wet weather.
