Responsibilities : The Senior Communications Manager assists the Communications Deputy Director in providing strategic direction to deliver cutting-edge knowledge and information for the child welfare field nationally. The Manager will collaborate with other team leads in developing and implementing the overall strategy for creating and marketing Child Welfare Information Gateway products and services and will help support operations of web and print product development. The Manager will be responsible for identifying creative solutions to address complex content needs while adhering to best practices in product development across communications mediums and channels; balancing staffing and other resources to complete multiple projects with overlapping deadlines; moving projects forward to approval and dissemination in a complex Federal review environment. will include:writing and editing print products and web contentoverseeing product life cycle managementcreating/monitoring annual work planscreating/monitoring project plans for products and web applicationssupervising the work of product development team members in coordinating print and web productionsupervising the work of a Senior Writer/Editor and Staff Paralegal and other communications staffreviewing products, establishing and maintaining style guidelinesensuring adequate staffing and other resourcesdeveloping/implementing quality assurance standards and processescontributing to needs assessments to ensure a user-centered approach to product/service deliveryengaging and managing subcontractorsassisting with product inventory management.

Requirements ::Bachelor Degree in communications, Journalism, English, or related fieldAt least 8 years experience with increasing responsibility for web product/applications development, publications development and managementExperience in project management and managing teamsDetail oriented; ability to collaborate and manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlinesProficient in MS Office Suite, Adobe Professional, and MS Project.Preferred Skills:Master DegreeExperience within a Government Consulting EnvironmentKnowledge of the field of Child WelfareProfessional Skill.
