Responsibilities and Requirements : Under the general direction of the Airport Director, manages the daily operations and maintenance of the Airport including runways, taxiways, hangers, housing units, and terminal building. Responsible for security, airport certification, airport operational areas, snow removal, maintenance, construction, rehabilitation, tenant relations, equipment, and purchases. The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other du-ties may be assigned. Maintains TSA security requirements. Supervises construction projects. Oversees the Airport ARFF Manages and directs employees. Attends Airport Board and City Council meetings. Ensures through inspections of the airport is in accordance with FAR Part 139 standards. Ensures the maintenance of runways in regard to marking and lighting, cleaning, surface repair, etc. Maintains inspection and training records. Supervises all maintenance, custodial, and operations personnel. Assigns and inspects the work of subordinates. Evaluates the performance of assigned subordinates. Assists in the planning of daily airport operations. Responsibility for the proper handling, storage, and use of hazardous materials by personnel. Issues NOTAMS as required. Maintains regular and punctual attendance and working hours. Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Expected to temporarily perform duties outside of normal classification in the event of a declared emergency. In the event that an employee is excused from work other than being sick, they will be required to report to work in a state of declared emergency. Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skill and abilities, including: High school diploma and seven to ten years experience; two years of college/Associates degree and two to five years expe-rience; or bachelor degree and up to two years experience.
