Responsibilities and Requirements : Database Administrator, Austin, TX. Create, manage and maintain Model204 databases, configure and manage security and data access, and monitor and optimize Model204 databases. Install, upgrade, and maintain Model204 systems in hardware and software environments. Establish policies and procedures for management, security, maintenance and use of the database system. Provide technical support and assistance to application development staff. Design and implement backup procedures and recorvery procedures to save and recover database from hardware and software failure. Provide on-call support and database production. Utilize VSE/JCL, M204 file manager, M204, Systems manager, M204 advance user language, Janus web server, and Janus sirscan. Requires a Bachelor degree or equivalent in MIS or Computer Science and two years of experience as a Database Administrator, Systems Analyst, or Programmer Analyst. 40 hours per week, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm..At least 2 years experience in Database Administrator, Systems Analyst, or Programmer Analyst Readiness to travel up to 50%; travelling 3-4 days a week, home on weekends English: knowledgeIBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
