Responsibilities : A dynamic employee-owned engineering firm, currently has openings for entry to mid-level Construction Manager in Maryland. CM will function in an Agency role and be responsible for oversight of project change orders (processing, negotiating, and technical writing of electrical change orders). CM will be required to prepare and analyze schedules, prepare cost estimates and negotiate change orders, maintain document control, solve construction problems in the field, and establish an effective working relationship with clients, contractors, and designers.

Requirements : Agency CM experience preferred. certification a plus. Experience with building construction and renovations (with focus and required experience in electrical projects and/or systems), Primavera 'Contract Manager' or system, and Suretrack/P3 or P6 experience desired.SkillsStrong direct experience in the processing, negotiating, and technical writing aspects of electrical change orders, preferably on Government (particularly U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) projects. Familiarity with CPM scheduling and standard scheduling software. Knowledge of the construction process. Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. Experience in cost estimating and standard estimating software. Ability to manage budgets. Familiarity with establishing and maintaining document control on a construction project, and use of document control software. Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong writing and speaking skills. Ability to work with and establish relationships with clients, contractors, and design engineers.Degrees / Licenses(R)equired (P)referredCCM preferred, PE preferred, Bachelors degree in engineering (particularly, Electrical Engineering) or construction management from an accredited university required.OtherGovernment project experience and/or security clearance are preferred options.
