Responsibilities : The role requires the ability to apply knowledge of computer programming and actuarial science and practices in creative and analytical ways. - This includes solving challenging problems pertaining to the use of technology to improve and maintain the Company ability to deliver effective actuarial work products to external clients. - The primary responsibilities include the design, development, testing and maintenance of actuarial valuation and asset liability modeling software. - The role involves significant interaction with Company actuarial staff. - The Actuarial Developer also assists in training of actuarial staff company-wide in the use of actuarial technology. - The Actuarial Developer works effectively on teams and independently and, demonstrates creativity and initiative as a contributor to enhancing work product capability and quality as a means of supporting the Company actuarial consulting-related revenue and profitability goals.

Requirements : Candidates must have a minimum of 5 to 7 years work experience as a programmer in the pension actuarial field. - Working knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (preferably C, C or Delphi) is essential. - Knowledge of asset liability modeling and actuarial principles and practices in the defined benefit pension plan area is also essential. - Undergraduate or Masters Degree in computer science, mathematics, actuarial science, statistics or other related discipline. - Successful completion of Society of Actuary or CFA exams is a plus.
