Responsibilities and Requirements : Provide Leadership to Dana Team Members through the Dana Style to support our CustomerSafety -- Experience with Safety programs Proactively improve safety in the plant to achieve plant goal of 0 accidents Facilitate and develop topics for communication at daily safety meeting and area meeting Champion the timely resolution of all safety concerns and/or near misses.Quality -- Work closely with quality department to create and maintain systems that insure quality products Support teammates in their efforts to consistently exceed customer expectations Develop and monitor the effectiveness of poke-yoke devices to ensure zero defects Monitor and track quality activities for the production area Lead area in meeting plant objective of 0ppm internal andProduction Coordinate and oversee rotation of production activities in the production department Evaluate and monitor assembly processes insuring Takt Time is being met Monitor standardized work is being followed Maintain and update Work Instruction Sheets as neededContinuous Improvement/Training Actively encourage participation in TIP program by effectively resolving and implementing teammates TIPS Ability to utilize Pareto methods to identify and resolve Quality/Productivity/Safety concerns Maintain measurables on team performance and continuous improvement activities. Effectively Identify and Champion continuous improve opportunities Ability to lead Kaizen and Zero Defect Teams Utilize training matrix to plan team member rotations to eliminate interruptions from unplanned absences Ability to learn and implement all elements of our lean manufacturing system Identify training opportunities to develop and maintain a highly motivated and capable team Lead efforts to reduce cost and improve efficiency to meet Hellweek objectivesInterpersonal Skills Excellent interpersonal skills.
