Responsibilities : The Legal Research Specialist is responsible for the timely handling of all legal writ received by the bank requiring research and response to the originator of the request, including but not limited to: Levys, Garnishments, Court Orders, Citations, Reclamations, and Subpoenas.:Receive and process legal document on behalf of .Act on the request as required in the legal document in a timely manner.Contact other FAB departments as needed to obtain information/documents to fulfill the request.Complete all necessary research, and produce copies of FAB documents as needed.Work with in-house counsel to ensure appropriate handling of more complicated requests.Respond in writing to the originator of the request.Other project or tasks as assigned.

Requirements :Associates Degree or equivalent experience. Legal coursework a plus. 2-3 years of banking experience with exposure to research and legal documentation. Strong oral and written communication skills, professional presentation, organizational skills and a proactive customer service approach. The position requires the individual to clearly communicate with internal customers and coworkers, external customers and legal professionals. The individual must have an above average understanding of various computer applications, including but not limited to: word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and online account systems. Schedule: Monday through Friday.
