Responsibilities : Prepare, submit and maintain accurate, searchable records of reports to the agencies.Coordinate and manage the In-House Audit program to ensure product compliance to internal metrics and prevailing emissions standards. Plan engine selection, test laboratory activity, data collection, reporting and summary to managers and stakeholders at engine plants and engineering.Participate as needed in solicitation, recruiting and logistical planning of customer vehicles for inclusion in the EPA In-Use test program.Lead efforts for solicitation, recruiting and logistical planning of customer vehicles/engines for inclusion in the OBD compliance test program.Conduct special engine tests as requested by platform to support engine programs, business decisions and performance investigation.Responsible for creating tasks and charts, managing programs, projects, and presentations and training the less senior engineers. Will also become involved and be responsible for customer relations with vendors, dealers, and customers. Works with minimum supervision within parameters established by supervisor, may provide task direction to technicians and others assigned with minimal direction and routine reporting.

Requirements :B.S. Technical degree with 5 years Engineering experience; OR M.S. with thesis in core competency; OR Ph.D. in general area of core competency without experience.Positive Attitude, Ethics, and International Values which support our company's values and a healthy, high performance culture.Desired Skills:Knowledge and experience in diesel engine performance, component design, manufacturing or testing.Knowledge and experience with On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) regulations and applicationsBackground and experience with external test, test services or component suppliers and vendors.Awareness or knowledge of underlying emissions standards that govern test protocol and measurement, certification and compliance.Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, across multiple internal disciplines and departments.Visit us at Navistarto discover more about our organization.
