Responsibilities : Time Seasonal - does not include benefitsBranchCamp Marston/Raintree/SurfRegionNorth County - Inland AssignmentsThis position is open at Camp Marston in Julian. Provide constant supervision with a group of 10-12 children (ages 7-15) and carry full 24-hour supervision for those children including staying in cabins with children overnight. Follow all camp policies and schedules, teach and lead activities, know and enforce safety rules, care for camp equipment and facilities, work well in a team and set a positive example for children to follow.

Requirements :Must be at least 18 years of age or older.Able to demonstrate mature judgment and positive public relation skills.Physical ability to lead and interact in-group activities and perform related physical skills including: standing, hiking and/or climbing for long periods of time.Able to teach and lead activities.Current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR or must obtain within 30 days of hire.Major FunctionsCabin Group Supervision: Assume full responsibility for a cabin group of 8-12 children. Get to know each child individually, build a group identity and supervise the children 24 hours per day, including evenings, overnights, mealtimes and most activity times.Know and follow all schedules: Daily, weekly and seasonal. Know and live by camp Standard Operating Procedures. Be prompt to all activities and meetings.Activity Leadership: Ability and skill to lead several camp activities required. Employ good teaching and Leadership techniques in providing quality instruction. Must be able to lead hikes on mountain trails, from the center of either camp to Inspiration Point within the normal one- hour activity time period.
