Responsibilities : Purpose: Develop, drive and manage licensed product and business strategies that meet the financial objectives of the division, maximize profitability, build the brand, and gain market share. Manage International merchandising objectives to maximize business results and financial goals. Ensure divisional, dual channel, dual country assortment supports the Eddie Bauer brand. The merchant liaison and communicator to Eddie Bauer Japan and the German licensee.Core Accountabilities:Lead trend analysis through competitive shopping and trade publications.Ensure product represents the current direction of the Eddie Bauer brand.Provide core merchandising concepts, seasonal strategies and product information to German and Japan merchants.Partner with retailer and licensee to determine product assortment and drive business strategies.Facilitate unique approval process with Japan and German merchants.Manage product and packaging development calendars with licenseesManage product approval details (color, fabric, design, etc.) with Licensing design team and communicate to licenseesMaintain accurate records of approvalsTrack progress of product development cycle to ensure production timeline is metPartner with licensees to ensure quality standards are metKey product contact for licensees, Eddie Bauer Japan and EBI.Analyze businessresults and present opportunities to grow business with each licensing partner, Japan and GermanyPartner with core to understand seasonal and annual direction, and apply to licensing products as appropriate.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Working knowledge of merchandising lifecycleNegotiating experience w/external and internal suppliers/ vendorsAbility to multi-task and prioritize projectsStrong written or verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skills.
