1. Establish QA processes and procedures; define guidelines, principles and processes for efficient testing and ensuring quality.
2. Implement process improvement and testing automation projects to improve the overall testing cycle.
3. Be a part of an ongoing effort to bring new testing knowledge
4. Design and execute backend, component level tests for tactical and large integration projects.
5. Evaluates and tests new or modified applications to verify that they function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines
6. Reviews new or modified programs via documentation (BRD), diagrams, and flow charts, to determine if program will perform according to user request and conform to guidelines.
7. Identifies testable events and develops and documents the test strategy, test schedules and integration test plans.
8. Leverages the testing process and test tool kit to create re-useable test assets.
9. Coordinates the Integration test phase including the coordination of the creation of integrated test environments, and UAT environments.
10. Recommends program improvements or corrections to developers (including software vendors)
11. Prepares status reports and KPI on testing activities.
12. Manages defects: tracking, prioritization and resolution.
13. Manages test activities schedule according to multiple projects and maintenance timelines.
14. Supports the BA in the coordination and execution of UAT.
15. Provide solution quality assurance leadership throughout all SDLC phases.
16. Perform other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
ACADEMIC TRAINING
University Degree in computer science or relevant discipline required
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 8 10 years experience in Information Technology primarily in the integration test phase of the systems development lifecycle
3-4 years of QA / Testing experience in large cross platform testing programs preferably in backend testing
Some team leadership experience
Strong team and task management skills

Knowledge of the telecommunications industry
