Provides a superior level of customer service for OSF entity employees, physicians, and patients. Works closely with System Contract Administrators to maintain and increase contract compliance and enhance vendor and Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) relationships. Interacts with the ERP and DIG team to reduce, resolve, and eliminate match exceptions. Assists OSF entities in enhancing and maximizing standardization and utilization initiatives. Acquires products and services which maximize the value to OSF when considering product quality, safety, and price. Researches and identifies products and equipment through soliciting and evaluating proposals, which best meet the needs of the requesting entity. Reports as required on purchasing activities and strategies to enhance the supply chain efficiency and overall cost. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Business Administration with five to seven years experience in purchasing, materials management, clinical management, or contracting. Experience in healthcare materials management preferred. Strong negotiation, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills are necessary as are creativity, insight, tenacity, integrity, and vision. Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks while remaining detail oriented is a must. An advanced knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Word, and the Materials Management functions of the OSF ERP softw are. .
