Develop, coordinate and maintain technical operating instructions, engineering drawings, installation procedures and related schedules, budgets and briefings. Attend working level engineering meetings, including depot maintenance, technical, safety, airworthiness, product improvement and modification meetings. Develop and present summaries of projects and produce well-constructed written reports, briefings and correspondence, often with short notice. Review sub-contractor performance, progress, design compliance, completeness and accuracy. Propose, analyze, investigate, and evaluate all maintenance (including development of completely new features) for feasibility, accuracy, cost and impact. Track and assist in the management of maintenance workload, throughput, and depot maintenance schedules. Review and comment on Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs). Initiate/prepare Test Plans and Test Procedures on assigned programs. Participate in weekly maintenance management telecons with Lockheed Martin Product Support management, users, customers, project offices, OEMs and other contractors as applicable for each program being supported. Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) on each program being worked. Desired skills Minimum of 10 years experience in electronic troubleshooting/diagnostic and repair of Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement Systems (MILES) LRUs/SRUs. Or, AS Degree in Electronics with a minimum of 5 years experience in electronic troubleshooting/diagnostic and repair of Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement Systems (MILES) LRUs/SRUs. Specific Job Description The purpose of this position is to assist in the organization and implementation of a full range of intermediate and depot level maintenance and sustainment projects of a complex nature in the design support, maintenance, modification, testing and repair of various electro-optic, components, electronics and mechanical systems, subsystems, and equipment. Position requires ability to resolve in-depth electronic and mechanical repair and support of fielded military hardware and software. Recommend, develop, implement, manage and specify repair procedures and follow-up with contractor, OEM, or depot workers to insure that proper procedures are implemented and incorporated during modifications or repair activities. Conduct investigations and/or analysis to resolve equipment deficiencies. Demonstrate professional knowledge of maintenance concepts, principles and practices concerned with the design, maintenance, modification, testing, repair, and support of fielded hardware and software. Work involves coordination with all engineering disciplines and involves working with other contractor personnel. Responsible for on-site quality assurance of maintenance and repair activities. .
