Responsibilities: Technical support for the development and implementation of web-based applications and solutions; Maintains knowledge of industry standards and technology; Plan, design, develop and maintain custom web applications; Effectively communicate science; and Research new standards, approaches and methodologies for the dynamic delivery of environmental information to target audiences. Skill requirements: Development experience in HTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and JavaScript; Knowledge or interest in learning data-driven web development and dynamic information delivery technologies; Knowledge or interest in learning rich internet application development with tools like Flash, Flex and Silverlight; Ability to communicate scientific and technical information to a wide audience both orally and in writing; and Prefer BS degree with at least 3 years of experience in web development with background in science a plus. .
