Responsibilities : Processes requisitions, which include sourcing, cost and price analysis, and contract or purchase order generation 2. Supplier development that involves new supplier evaluation, existing supplier management, and resolving sourcing issues 3. Develop a knowledge for the assigned commodity that covers the market pricing, market make up, trends in the market, and alternative markets or technologies 4. Manage open contracts or orders to maintain the needed delivery of goods and services. 5. Establish Long Term Agreements or pricing Agreements that meet the company objectives with regard to cost control and guaranteed supply 6. Provide pricing information that will be used to support cost proposals being made to Moog customers.

Requirements : 7 years of Purchasing or Supply Chain experience with substantial experience in buying and negotiations 2 years experience in strategic sourcing and integration activities Experience working with a global company Demonstrated strength in leveraged buying and contract negotiations for multiple sites Experience with indirect spend procurement Experience working on and leading commodity teams Demonstrated teamwork skills a must Strong business acumen - demonstrated skills in putting a business case together and performing cost/pricing analysis Experience developing RFPs and RFQs Demonstrated project planning skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong references from suppliers and former peers Demonstrated familiarity with FARs, etc. Preference given to individuals who have had experience working with customers or in sales Prospective candidates must have a commitment to finding and engaging small businesses Familiarity with Risk Management principles is preferredBachelor degree (vocational, professional, or advanced) in the field of supply chain management, business, or engineering. MBA is a plus. Preference given to APICS certifications, especially CSCP certification.
