Responsibilities : Responsible for the coordination and arrangement of freight services from supplier shipping locations to Sysco Redistribution Facilities, Sysco Forward Warehouses, Direct to Operating Company and/or Direct to Customer. works independently.Responsibilities1.Utilize TMS system to perform inbound load planning activities through order consolidation and aggregation.2.Identifies lowest possible freight cost and best mode of transportation to maximize cost efficiency.3.Tender loads to designated carriers for delivery to either RDC, Forward Warehouse, OpCo and/or End-customer.4.Track loads through management of carrier responses to ensure on-time delivery and monitor carrier performance for service level5.Communicates daily with merchandisers, suppliers, carriers and RTM concerning shipping activities.6.Monitor carrier performance for freight claims7.Process freight bills for payment8.Create and/or update freight rates by lane9.Provide rate requests.10.Maintain and keep current both vendor and carrier files within the TMS.11.Monitor and report monthly activity.Provides out of office coverage for other Planners when necessary.
