Responsibilities : We are also dedicated to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.We have an exciting opportunity available for a motivated Community (Fundraiser/Health Educator) Managerfor our Wilmington, NC office and this position will serve the surrounding areas of Cumberland, Harnett, and Hoke counties.This is home based position.Responsibilitiesfor this exciting position include: recruiting, cultivating and sustaining volunteer relationships and community presence in support of mission delivery (health education) and fundraising activities; management and implementation of assigned special events such as Relay For Life, Golf, Gala/Specialty Events, Daffodil Days, among others within established guidelines, develop business plans for successful implementation of fundraising events and professionally and effectively represents the American Cancer Society and its mission to the public volunteers and other entities.

Requirements :Qualifiedapplicants must be a self starter with proven leadership skills, goal oriented, effective decision maker, team player and have the ability to work independently and meet fundraising goals. Detailed oriented candidate should possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to work effectively with community leaders and diverse groups. Project management, sales and or fundraising experience required. Valid driver license required. Some nights, weekends, and travel required.
