Responsibilities : Days WorkedVaries ProfileWorks under the supervision of the Manager, Engineering Operations. Assist or as directed, performs a variety of basic operational and preventive maintenance on all HVAC related equipments (refrigeration, cooling, and air conditioning systems) of the hospital utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills. Monitors gauge readings and the operation of systems. Conducts routine maintenance of HVAC & refrigeration systems as a major component of the position. Displays and practices a work style that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the organization.

Requirements : EPA refrigerant certified and must have a valid CA driver license. One to two years of working experience or must possess the following criteria: 1.Capable of maintenance and operating of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. 2.General knowledge on Steam, Domestic & Hot Water and Chilled Water systems. 3.Able to read & interpret schematics, technical, manuals data sheets & blueprints. 4.Skilled in maintenance of accurate Freon usage logs.1-5 years maintenance and operations experience with a minimum of 1 to 2 years of increasing responsibilities and experience in troubleshooting and repair of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration systems in a complex commercial/ industrial/healthcare setting. Examples of required skill sets: Repairs, replaces and tests HVAC and refrigeration equipment. Troubleshoots refrigerant cycle, electrical & DDC components and repairs the problems. High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
