Responsibilities : Under the direction of the Director of Design and Construction, the Assistant Director is responsible for the management and design, renovation and construction initiatives and projects on all New York campuses. He/she will be responsible for all space and facilities planning/programming, creating and monitoring project schedules and project budgets, project status updates and developing/reviewing construction documents and architectural plans for implementation. The successful candidate will also provide technical advice to both the Director of Design and Construction and the VP for IT and Infrastructure on long term planning for the College.

Requirements :Bachelor degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning or Public Administration or related field and 10 years related experience is required. Experience with managing projects, writing proposals and working closely with New York City and Long island regulatory agencies, including building departments, fire departments and other regulatory bodies is required. Excellent interpersonal, communication and computer (AutoCAD and other design /project management software) skills required.
