To weigh credit risk to ensure that the liability taken on by the company will result in a saleable loan. To provide superior customer service. Essential Functions: Review all loan submissions and follow-up conditions provided by borrower/broker Ensure that Corporate operating standards are met for underwriting and compliance Ensure that customer service commitments are met .

Requirements :Must have a full working knowledge of agency underwriting and selling guidelines Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written Must have the ability to review documents within corporate time-frame a low error rate Must be well organized and have the ability to multi-task Must be able to assess risk Must have the ability to determine if submitted conditions are acceptable, and offer alternative suggestions as needed Must have the ability to review more complex loans (jumbos, self-employed borrowers) Must have the ability to mentor those with less underwriting experience Training and Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years in the mortgage industry Must have a complete working knowledge of agency automated underwriting systems Must have the ability to traditionally underwrite a file Note:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
