Responsibilities : The Case Manager facilitates timely and accurate workflow of life insurance applications through the new business process in the Life and Annuity Division of Protective Life.This is a customer focused position that will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external distributors and customers. The job requires problem solving and research, a sense of urgency in processing business and responding to inquiries, and focus on meeting customer and manager expectations.Individual must take ownership of individual and team caseloads and service standards through completion of the application process while providing detailed and consistent communication to marketing personnel and customers.Responsibilities include:the initial review of life insurance applications;communication of and follow up on needed requirements;timely response to customer inquiries via email and phone;effectively communicating underwriting decisions; andproviding support to the new business call center during assigned times.This position works closely with underwriters, vendors, and customers on aging cases to ensure completion within established time standards.

Requirements :3 - 5 years life insurance experience (a 4-year college degree in a business or related discipline could be substituted).of 6 months monitored production work.Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, problem solving skills and must be able to work well within a team.Experience with insurance administration systems is a plus.Must have the ability to meet individual needs of a diverse customer group, and deal with difficult customers.Must remain flexible and be able to adapt easily to quickly changing work environment.
