Responsibilities : A part-time Default Coordinator for the Financial Aid Department at our Old Westbury campus. This position is responsible for providing support in all aspects of student loans. Key tasks include communicating with in school borrowers, indicating their total indebtedness, assisting with financial literacy presentations; which includes an in person literacy session which will cover budgeting, money management, and debt management. The default coordinator will also be responsible for conducting group exit counseling sessions. Additional duties include communicating to students during their grace period, reminding them they have entered their grace period and must begin repayment soon. Qualified candidate will also be responsible for identifying at-risk borrowers, particularly students who have withdrawn from school, or dropped below half-time status. The default coordinator will also be responsible for delinquent borrower counseling and cohort default rate.

Requirements :Bachelors degree preferred. Excellent interpersonal, communication and computer (MS Office) skills required. Ability to work well independently as well as with a team.
