Responsibilities : There is an immediate opening for a Sr. Safety Specialist within our Catalyst, Adsorbents and Specialties Business at our Chickasaw, Alabama site. This position will have accountability for the implementation of the maintenance work process including the use of global tools and the application of most effective technology. The individual is accountable for achieving function goals, establishing financial plans that are consistent with the business needs, and supplying best in class maintenance service through the use of effective leveraging of resources.  Accountable for identifying , developing, and achieving departmental goals, ensuring appropriate linkage between function, department and subordinate goalsDevelops and implements programs to ensure the protection of employees while maintaining full compliance with applicable government regulations, permits, policies and local proceduresProvide safety and health technical support for the facilityDevelops and updates lesson plans and CBT's in support of training for employees in safety and health related mattersConduct Contractor Process Safety Management Training for contractorsPersonal Protective Equipment implementation and compliance that includes training

Requirements : Degree in Safety or Related Field preferredStrong knowledge of continuous and batch chemical manufacturing processesKnowledge of Regulatory Compliance for State and Local governmentsExperience developing and implementing safety and health systemsStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office software applications, and either SAP or an automated Work Order system.
