Responsibilities : Reporting directly to Plant Manager with a strong dotted line to the recently promoted Purchasing Manager. include the purchasing of raw materials, consumables, supplies, services, capital equipment - basic operating expenses. Most of these have already been negotiated but there may be some negotiating of contracts, if not now then in the future. You are replacing a well regarded, high performer who has been promoted, you need to be a self starter who is confident of their abilities and promotable. This is with the profitable, best performing division of a larger company. Plant has been pretty stable.

Requirements :Requires a BS degree, and 3 years of previous experience purchasing in a manufacturing environment. You must either live locally in north central Indiana or be a in a situation where it is quick, cheap and easy for you to relocate.
