Responsibilities and Requirements : Spectroscopist - Analytical ChemistAda, MIReporting to the Group Leader of Analytical Services - Chemistry, this person will work with cross functional teams, with the focus on characterization of product impurities and degradents as well as the identification of particulate matter.The goal of these studies isto create scientifically defendable conclusions for our manufacturing and field complaint investigations as well as to support our internal customers with their construction of a corrective action / preventative action plans.The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to·Deliver research support with expertise in spectroscopy, microscopy and manufacturing investigations·Provide resolution on product impurities with analytical research that creates scientifically defendable conclusions·Assist with the development of corrective action and preventative action plans·Deliver strong customer support to provide timely resolution of investigationsThe accomplished individual will possessExpertise in the investigation of manufacturing and field complaints in the consumer products, pharmaceutical , nutraceutical,agricultural or specialty chemistryindustrySpectroscopy skill with IR, Raman, NIR, NMR,Microscopy experience with optical, stereo-, and SEM/EDXFive years experience in an analytical lab identifying impurities and degradentsExperience in particulate matter isolation and characterizationExposures with analytical technologies such as LC, GC, MS, DSC/TGA, ICP, AA or wet chemistry would be helpfulStrong interpersonal and communication skillsThe strong professional will have the following academic credentials.BS or MSin Chemistry (Analytical or Organic preferred)Amway exceptional benefits package includes: Medical, dental, prescription and vision insurance; 401(K) participation; Profit Sharing; Bonus Eligibility;FitnessCenter; product discounts.
