Responsibilities : The Company has developed the Portable People Meter, a new technology for media and marketing research. Through our Scarborough Research joint venture, Arbitron also provides additional media and marketing research services to the broadcast television, newspaper, out-of-home and online industries. We are looking for a Technical Writer/Trainer, to join our PPM Panel Compliance team located in Columbia, MD include but are not limited to:Developing and presenting a variety of multi-media training programs for Panel Compliance Operations, Houston Membership Representatives and Market Coaches. Developing and conducting train-the-trainer sessions for site Supervisors, Trainers, and other staff Developing and maintaining a variety of manuals and job aids Assisting with the development, implementation and management of certification programs for a variety of staff Helping ensure adherence to survey methodology and established procedures at multiple calling sites Helping ensure consistency in execution and communication among multiple calling sites Developing and conducting a variety of needs and skills assessments; completing detailed analyses of results and recommending solutions as appropriate Providing ongoing performance-related feedback and coaching in individual and group settings Regularly monitoring calls and working with a variety of staff to positively impact call quality and adherence to established methodology and established procedures Assisting with the development, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Assurance procedures and measurements.

Requirements :Bachelor Degree; Master's Degree preferred (degree in Journalism, Communications, Adult Education, or related field a plus). Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience developing and presenting multi-media training programs to varied audiences. Experience in market research, telemarketing, and/or an automated phone center strongly preferred Experience with writing / publications, and graphics a plus. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required; MS Access is a plus. Experience creating web-based training and assessment programs desired; additional technical aptitude is a plus.
