Responsibilities : Safety and Environmental Office:New Carrollton Location:New Carrollton, MD DescriptionCSSI, a leading prime contractor to the , is looking for an environmental programmer / analyst with a strong aviation or transportation background. The selected candidate will develop software, derive requirements for emissions modeling development and support validation activities and research, primarily focused on emissions and noise technology applications in the National Airspace System and NextGen.: Environmental Software ProgrammerSummaryKey Works with customer and research team to develop and derive detailed requirements for environmental software development and research.Attend meetings, including telecons, to support the goals and strategies of the AEDT development and NextGenUse systems engineering methodologies to derive high level requirementsTo develop software using various programming technologies including C# and C in a windows environment for Aviation tools.

Requirements :Bachelors degree in computer science or related field (science or engineering) from an accredited university;Several years experience in C #Experience creating Graphical User Interfaces (GUI)Additional years of experience with C or JAVAExperience with SQL Server 2005 / 2008Good understanding of object oriented designAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAbility to grasp / understand the physics of operation of technological systems (aircraft, surveillance, navigation, communications, automation, etc.)The candidate must be a self-starter with strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, and a team player.Candidate must be proficient in standard office computer applications and software, to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.Supplemental Information.
