Responsibilities and Requirements : Summer Associate ProgramThe associates will get involved in legal projects and an introduction to private law practice. Apply legal skills to real legal issues. May gain practical experience in document preparation and review, litigation skills, client counseling, research and writing. Observe attorneys in trial, at depositions, in mediation and negotiation sessions, during client counseling and in transactional closings. Work on numerous substantive projects during the 10-week term of June 1 to August 15, 2009. Should be ranked in the top quarter of the law school class and be on the staff of the school's law journal. Should have participated in moot court, negotiation and mock trial competitions, and student Bar association activities. Good academics needed. Law students can apply.
