Requirements :The Chef is responsible for the overall production of food and meals served while following procedures & standards set forth by the dept. & regulatory agencies. Will be responsible for monitoring the quality of food & providing feedback, training & coaching on a continuous basis. Will train, evaluate & supervise appropriate staff in carrying out dept. & hospital policies & procedures. Also responsible for ensuring sound financial oversight of operations within assigned areas. requirements: 3 yrs. experience within the past 10 yrs. as a Sous Chef or Chef with experience mentoring in a foodservice operation. Graduate from an accredited Culinary Arts Program or Chef's Apprentice Program from the American Culinary Federation Knowledge of therapeutic diets food cooking techniques & Serv Safe Cert. and/or culinary certificate (or must be obtained wihtin 6 months of hire into position Strong customer service skills.
