Responsibilities and Requirements : Must be able to create sourcing strategy and have negotiation skills to ensure best pricing possible for the company2. Must be able to work Cross functionly with Quality, Engineering, Production Sales and Product Management to source products that meet company goals for Price, Quality and on time Delivery3. Using MRP and MPS modules, print out the required reports and determine proper quantities and due dates, place purchase orders with suppliers and follow up to ensure suppliers meet due dates4. Purchase and supply items as requested by various departments and expedite purchase orders as due dates near to assure there is adequate inventory to support production requirements and notify scheduling of any raw material/scheduling conflicts so appropriate action can be taken5. Work with inventory transaction history reports to determine proper inventory stocking levels and reorder points, maintain reorder rules in the MRP module and use inventory management reports, review and approve and forecast raw material usage to suppliers6. Work with other departments to eliminate and prevent excess inventory from accumulating7. Adherence to HyClone purchasing policies and procedures Control & Acquisition of Purchased Items (WID030-0311) is crucial8. Negotiate new or existing products and services with suppliers, maintain existing contracts and recommend new contracts as deemed beneficial to the company.
