Responsibilities : Has created a new model of journalism - Public Insight Journalism - that brings the knowledge and experience of people in diverse communities into reporting & informing the editorial content of MPR News & APM national shows like Marketplace & American RadioWorks (see mpr.org/publicinsight for more information).- Web Presence- Support the daily editing and updating of web content.- Create and manage web pages about and its work.- Define and gain approval for design, navigation, content presentation, structure and strategy for PIJ's digital presence.- Act as owner for the bulk email service provided via an ASP model to by another organization.- Develop and maintain templates for PIJ's questionnaire applications.- Identify and report production problems and assist with solutions.- Identify and implement workflow efficiencies that support web content updates in sustainable ways.- Work w/Partner News Organizations- Provide support to personnel at partner organizations for the bulk email service and PIJ's questionnaire applications.- Generate/develop ideas - independently and in collaboration with other team members - for spotlighting insight-driven storytelling and growing the Public Insight Network with experiences that hum.

Requirements :BA or equiv exper- 5 yrs exper of building web sites, Flash packages, and mashups, preferably for a news organization- Exper w/Teamsite and other content management systems.- Exper w/a commercial bulk email system.- Exper pulling and analyzing data from web metrics tools.- Exper w/HTML, CSS, Flash, and related mark-up and scripting tools, as well as Photoshop & other imaging tools.
