Responsibilities : The Case Management Director directs the department services at Memorial and Memorial North Park.The services provided include assessment, planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the patient's options and services.The Director demonstrates proficiency in areas such as leadership, management, and case management, by promoting effective resource utilization, monitoring healthcare resources and assuming a leadership role within the interdisciplinary care team and facility.SUMMARY:The Case Management Director directs the department services at Memorial and Memorial North Park.The services provided include assessment, planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the patient's options and services.The Director demonstrates proficiency in areas such as leadership, management, and case management, by promoting effective resource utilization, monitoring healthcare resources and assuming a leadership role within the interdisciplinary care team and facility.

Requirements : Registered Nurse with a BSN and current TN licensure required.  Master's Degree preferred.  Case Management certification preferred.  A minimum of 5 years clinical case management or social work experience in the medical, surgical and critical care setting is required.The ideal Director possesses a working knowledge of payer requirements, regulatory guidelines, DRG reimbursement methodology, nationally accepted criteria, and transitional care options.Previous supervisory experience required in a hospital setting. Equipment/Skills: Demonstrates proficiency in establishing good working relationships with physicians, hospital staff.Demonstrates advanced skills in written and verbal communication and negotiation.
