Responsibilities : Training Specialist IV Under the guidance of the The Manager of Training and Development delivers advanced and/or senior level training. Work involves planning, developing, organizing, conducting and evaluating educational and training programs. Researches, develops, reviews and evaluates training programs and materials, and recommends modification as appropriate. Develops curricula, course outlines, instructional methods, training aids, manuals and other material. Formulates learning objectives; plans, designs, and develops methods for the assessment and evaluation of training effectiveness. Formulates and develops plans, procedures and programs to meet specific training needs. Formulates policies and procedures for training programs. Compiles data and prepares reports. Participates in solving training problems and ensuring the effective utilization of modern training methods and techniques; promotes the use of training services. Facilitates workshops and meetings upon request. Conducts instructor-led training courses for HHS Agencies. Works under limited supervision with moderate latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Requirements :Knowledge of training procedures and techniques; of adult education principles, practices and techniques; of group process, group dynamics and interpersonal relations; and of instructional design. Knowledge of training methods, training skills and ability to train people of various knowledge levels in large and small groups. Skill in creating and evaluating learning objectives, requirements and effectiveness of delivery; effective communication skills; ability to assess training needs. Skill in managing training delivery program activities. Ability to establish goals and objectives. Ability to devise solutions to administrative problems. Ability to develop and evaluate administrative policies and procedures. Ability to work with teams, facilitate meetings and provide consultation to stakeholders relative to training.Registration or Licensure Initial Selection Criteria:A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in education, human resources, organizational development, or a related field. Three (3) years of work experience conducting training program activities and classes. Experience coordinating/facilitating training and training related groups.
