As a Program manager within our client’s Space Division you will be responsible for leading space payload system programs from concept to completion to include both pursuit, and execution activities.
Program Manager has responsibility for the successful execution of assigned program(s) to include:
Provide management oversight for al aspects of program execution activity
Provide leadership and guidance to Program Managers/Deputy Program Managers and integrated product team leads to ensure success in attainment of technical, cost, and schedule objectives for assigned program(s).
Manage external customer interface
Maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction as measured by award fee on cost plus programs and on-time delivery on fixed price programs
Develop cost effective program infrastructure for the management of a single or multiple programs
Provide monthly financial reporting with profit and revenue projections
Primary responsibility is to plan, communicate, and implement programs using cross-functional teams, leading multiple integrated product teams to ensure all sub-systems and aspects of the program are successfully completed.
Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering is required, BSEE preferred. MS/MBA a strong plus.
10 to 15 or more years in engineering design and management of space qualified E/O systems.
Knowledge of remote sensing payloads a strong plus.
Successful experience with P&L responsibility; managing programs greater than $50M in value
Working knowledge of Earned Value Management
Working knowledge of contracts; FARS and DFARS, export and ITAR regulations
Computer proficiency in MS Office, Outlook and Project
Successful experience interfacing with US Government, commercial and international customers desired
Must have a proven track record as a strong leader with excellent coaching and team-building skills
Other skills needed include excellent negotiation, strategic planning and communication skills
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS TO BE CONSIDERED
Customer contacts at high levels in DoD, NASA, CIA, Air Force, NOAA, Military
10 plus years leadership experience, no job hopping, If all military must have 2 years in an organization.
Must have experience with Space products (Satellite, remote sensing, a definite plus)
