Responsibilities: She or he will work with other engineers to definethe overall and detailed product architecture with a focus on theData Center (back-end) components and with an additional emphasis onthe database design. As a technical leader, this person shall workwith people from various teams (product marketing, QA, support,operations, etc.) throughout the development lifecycle process. Thisincludes development and review of requirements and roadmaps,launching new projects and programs, and designing and deliveringbest-in-class solutions. She or he will also play a key role in thedevelopment and mentoring of the engineering team.This is a position that requires technicalleadership and hands-on development. Prior experience in havingdeveloped products that require large scale data centers andhigh-availability is essential. Sufficient database experience andexpertise with large scale databases to provide general guidance andconsulting services to other development organization isrequired.Domain experience in the Backup/Archiving/Storagesectors will be helpful. Prior experience in dealing with encryptiontechnologies and chain of custody issues is a plus. .
