Requirements: 2-3 years experience required responsibilities Responsible for the coordination and resolution of the rejections and denials in the Denial Guru and Claimstrust database which involves medical necessity and coding issues including modifiers as well as ICD-9 and CPT coding. Communication and education with physicians, office staff and hospital department staff required to resolve issues. Will prepare monthly trend reports for rejections and denials. Will also code outpatient claims such as rehab services, referred diagnostic tests among others. Qualifications: High School Diploma required. Associates Preferred. Requires AHIMA coding credential such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS , CCS-P or AAPC coding credential CPC. Must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience with hospital/clinic based CPT and ICD-9 coding and knowledge and application skills regarding Local Coverage Determination policies and Correct Coding Initiative Edits. .
