Analyzes and understands product and test system requirements and design in terms of cost and efficiency impact. Evaluates product and test system design and performance against required targets and expectations and implements solutions for products and test systems that do not meet expectations. This includes responsibility for specific process or environmental areas. Assignment may be by specific product line or Integrated Product Team (IPT). Critical Skills Needed: Knowledge and experience with performance and acceptance testing of helmet mounted displays Avionics test equipment hardware and software design experience Knowledge and experience with LabVIEW programming language and Test Executive development Has a complete understanding of DFX analysis tools, applications, and methods. Provide capacity planning and utilization analysis for accurate staffing and test equipment needs. Implement innovative test approaches that will reduce staffing and capital requirements while improving effectiveness and efficiency of the test process. Ability to perform root cause analysis and take corrective action to resolve test failures. Ability to initiate and lead innovative technology advances in the Mfg test engineering area. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with LCVSM and Design Engineering leadership. Active engagement early in product and test equipment design processes to ensure both meet producibility and testability requirements. Able to work with minimal or no oversight with freedom for independent actions. Able to plan and lead multiple and complex projects of significant impact. Able to serve as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and / or programs. Able to advise management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
