Responsibilities:The Proposal Analyst’s primary function is to support the sales department in developing all responses to customer or prospect-issued Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFPs). The Proposal Analyst will also provide management of the RFI and RFP response database.ResponsibilitiesMaintains the RFI /RFP knowledgebase. This individual works with identified departmental Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to provide records for the knowledgebase, and periodic updates when content reaches expiration or obsolescence. Proposal Analyst review all content for grammatical accuracy and style.Support all members of the sales team in developing, writing and editing original responses to RFIs and RFPs and other related sales documents (e.g. templates, white papers, etc.).Coordinate, under limited supervision, the development, interpretation, and implementation of responses and questionnaires for customers using established policies, procedures and guidelines. This includes interfacing with the identified subject matter experts (SME) in corporate departments (e.g. Legal, Services, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, etc.) for responses not covered by records maintained in the RFI / RFP response database.The Proposal Analyst develops the expertise to provide many RFP responses with minimal help from SMEs. This includes familiarity with the features of Phase Forward software, types of service offerings, and details on corporate policies. Additionally, the Proposal Analyst should gain familiarity with government regulations and industry guidance related to the functional area (e.g. FDA regulations and guidance related to 21 CFR Part 11, Good Clinical Practices, etc.).QualificationsEducation and Experience Required:The Proposal Analyst must have excellent grammar and writing skills and be able to consistently write using Phase Forward’s voice and style.The Proposal Analyst must possess strong project management skills and a proven ability to multi-task while adhering to tight deadlines.Thorough knowledge of PC usage:Desktop Applications – Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, OutlookProduction Tools – Adobe Acrobat, RFP Machine and RFP Express (familiarity with Pragmatech RFP Machine and RFP Express preferred but not required)4-5 Years experience preferredBachelor’s required, Masters preferred
