Develops methodologies to measure supply chain (distribution) performance around the world. Performs analysis to judge the performance of the Naval supply chain to include positioning of specific material in forward stocking sites, movement of material to the end user, and movement between theater transportation nodes. Develops short-range and long-range distribution planning with the goal of maintaining the highest state of Fleet readiness consistent with distribution resources. Coordinates across Service lines, within the NAVSUP claimancy, with DoD activities worldwide, and with activities outside the DoD jurisdiction. Candidate must work closely with command organization. Assesses and recommends the feasibility of proposed approaches to solve highly complex problems. Prepares and presents reports, studies, cost analyses, and briefings to staff and customers as needed.Identifies and resolves highly complex logistics issues.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in related discipline plus at least 2 years of directly related experience.In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 7 years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.In applicable circumstances, education and or experience requirements may be decreased or waived if the individual has an extraordinary educational background or uniquely applicable experience or highly specialized knowledge.
