SR&ED ENGINEERING ACCOUNT MANAGER
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
REMUNERATION: $60 – 70k + incentive package (potential $100K +)
Some travel required to client sites –within Ontario (could involve 2 -3 days per month overnight travel)

Essential Requirements;
Proven experience with prepartion of SR&ED claims (internal/external)
Proven experience with presentation of claim to CRA and actual audit
PH.D or Masters Degree in a Technical Field
Technical certifications (i.e. P.Eng, Quality Certifications)
Previous consulting experience in a technical field
10+ years in a manufacturing or experimental development environment
Excellent communication and report writing skills
Full time vehicle access is essential.
Technical degree/diploma from a post secondary institution
Must be a team player
• Must continually upgrade understanding of SR&ED programme and the ability to interpret legislation and communicate new legislation to SM Financial clients and internal staff
• Must stay up to date with innovative technologies and trends in Science and Engineering and be able to explain their impact to clients (must attend CRA seminars)
• Must be able to defend reports to SR&ED auditors in the event of client review
• Plan, organize and execute engagements on time an within budget
• Prepare and clearly present information to others and be able to respond to their questions one on one or in a group situation
• Successfully develop and manage client relationships
• Work with sales team to when necessary to present information seminars for selected clients
• Keep up to date with current technologies and trends in science and engineering
• Must have ability to provide creative solutions to problems and be able to scope out major projects and work out a practical application for their completion
• Work with Administration on collection and payment issues
• Be able to work as part of a team to complete SR&ED claims for small, medium and large companies
• Methodically review clients technology, products and operations to determine which R&D activities qualify under CRA guidelines for tax credits
• Work with client technical personnel to identify projects that are applicable for SR&ED
• Work with client personnel to prepare technical documents to complete SR&ED claims
• Work with client and any agencies/authorities to settle tax credit claims
