Job Responsibilities : Report on the status of projects to Branch, Division, and Upper Management Meet directly with customers to determine their needs and requirements Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on assigned projects Document customer requirements and uses engineering and construction knowledge to provide efficient solutions to customer requirements Participate in Facility Concept Studies for approved projects Develops detailed requirements and prepares the Requirements Document SOW, and Project Plan for the design effort Manage the design acquisition process & functions the technical representative for the design and construction Manage the design process and directs the work effort of the project team Monitor the activities of the designer and construction contractor for compliance with project metrics Coordinate safety and environmental issues with the safety and environmental organizations personnel Develop a complete package for construction acquisition, including a detailed project implementation plan Provide assessment on engineering team member's performance Manage and document design reviews Assure that project submittals/shop drawings are reviewed and approved Coordinate resolution of RFI's and technical issues pertaining to field installation Control finances and provide technical support to resolve design issues.

Job Requirements : Must possess an engineering degree from an accredited university Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in design and construction of multidiscipline projects Able to serve as project manager on dozens of active projects (typically less than $500k each) in various stages of development Must be comfortable in both professional office and field work environments Proficient in MS Word / Excel / Outlook and project scheduling tools Possess an extensive understanding of construction standards and practices Skill in construction document handling and administration Skill in organizing and managing cost estimating, bidding, and scheduling procedures Skill in documenting and assessing field conditions, RFIs and change orders Ability to track and manage job costs Able to create and aggressively manage construction schedules Able to solve complex problems associated with the management of costs and schedules.
