You will be responsible as a Senior Technical Advisor and Project Reviewer for all radar range technical systems and projects.
You will report to and represent the Range Manager and Chief Engineer.
You will provide senior level experience, advice, technical review, and mentoring on all range efforts.
Emphasis is on ground based range systems and simulators, including search radars and tracking radars.
Theoretical knowledge of antenna systems and RF propagation and feedback systems is necessary.
Familiarity with range support systems such as GPS, Telemetry, Tracking systems, and other electronic range systems is strongly desired.
An active Top Secret clearance is preferred, though candidates who are eligible to obtain a TS level clearance will still be considered.
Serves as a Principal Technical advisor, investigator and/or individual contributor to contract operations and research projects.
1. Develops and applies advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and difficult system design requirements and problems.
2. Conducts investigations of considerable complexity.
3. Provides technical consultation to other organizations or customers.
4. Direct interface and liaison with internal and external customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
5. Plans, conducts and technically directs projects or major phases of significant projects requiring the expert application of advanced knowledge.
6. Reviews completion and implementation of systems additions and/or enhancements and recommends corrections in technical application and analysis to management.
7. Represents the Company as technical advisor in high-level meetings and briefings with Company and customer personnel.
8. Prepare, deliver and submit technical papers and perform engineering studies. Support development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.
9. Acts as and is recognized as a company/industry expert resource on the most complex engineering problems.
10. Maintain technical project responsibility for assigned tasks and advise management of progress in support of the technical and administrative direction of project operations.
11. Conduct site visits, experimental investigations and analyze problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.
12. Develop, interpret, and implement technical and administrative operating policies and procedures.
13. Perform other related duties and assignments as directed.
Master's Degree in a related field from an accredited academic institution and 20 years of related experience, or have an accredited Doctorate Degree in a related field with at least 15 years of related experience. The incumbent must be assessed, recognized and verified by the Company President as a technical authority in a field considered critical to Company operations. The incumbent, viewed as a subject matter expert, must possess a well established, substantial, professional reputation in one or more of the principal technical disciplines of the Company. Demonstrates the ability to direct senior technical personnel in project assignments involving research, development, integration and sustainment of complex systems or processes. Uses superior communications skills, both verbal and written, in day-to-day project activities as well as in briefing customers, writing reports and proposals. The incumbent must have a working knowledge of computer systems.
