Detailed Description
Under the direction of the Department Director, the Registered Nurse is responsible to provide, delegate, and coordinate nursing care provided at PRMC, and is guided by the policies and procedures of the hospital. The R.N. utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct and indirect nursing care of the patient.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: ALL REGISTERED NURSING
A. To assure that the highest quality nursing care is delivered to the patient in the most cost effective manner
B. To help return the patient to a state of optimal wellness or to a state in which the highest quality of life can be maintained.
C. To collaborate with other members of the health care delivery team, including physicians, to deliver quality health care.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: CHARGE
A. To share with the Department Director and Administrative Supervisor 24 hour responsibility for maintaining department flow, and crisis intervention.
B. To ensure appropriate skill mix and assignments


Requirements
A. Work Experience:
- One (1) year previous experience preferred - All Registered Nurses
B. Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
C. License, Certification, or Registration required: Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California. Current BLS. ACLS must be obtained within 90-days of hire.
D. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, and the general public.
E. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
F. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical/clinical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
G. Special Qualifications: Ability to manage stress and handle multiple priorities. Must be capable of making decisions under pressure and managing anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately

$2000.00 after completion of 2yrs in ICU
* $3000.00 additional if FT Night shift ICU RN after completion of 2yrs in ICU

If offered and accepted PT ICU RN position
$1000.00 sign on
$1000.00 after completion of 1yr in ICU
$1000.00 after completion of 2yrs in ICU
* $3000.00 additional if status changes to FT Night shift ICU RN after completion of 1yr in ICU to full 2yr commitment
