National VAR/Software Sales
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying revenue opportunities, selling to prospective businesses and partners. The primary role is to develop a sales plan targeting new prospective VAR partners (software providers, associations, referral groups) and will include the development of presentations, delivery of product demonstrations, attendance of conferences, price and contract negotiations.
1.Select and engage partner organizations that have the greatest likelihood of revenue generation.
2.Conduct market research, creating call targets, and prospecting by telephone, in-person visits and email.
3.Develop and deliver sales presentations and proposals to targeted business prospects.
4.Identify new partner opportunities.
5.Serve as a relationship liaison with existing partner relationships.
6.Engage, nurture and qualify marketing responses and outbound telesales initiatives.
7.Maintain a current understanding of solution suite and marketplace trends and terminology.
8.Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly performance goals.
Preference - a minimum of a 4-year undergraduate degree, or equivalent, preferably in business or technology.
1.5+ years professional experience in business development and/or sales.
2.Experience in related technology, ecommerce or payment processing industry.
3.High level of integrity and ability to accurately convey information.
4.Self-motivated in order to achieve daily call volumes, as well as monthly and quarterly performance metrics.
5.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and sales tracking systems (e.g. Microsoft CRM, Salesforce, etc.), as well as the capacity to effectively and efficiently learn about various software solutions.
6.Ability to effectively communicate the value proposition of various software solutions to current and prospective clients.
7.Aptitude to learn new markets and solution suites.
8.Familiarity with research tools, networking sites and advanced internet search techniques.
9.Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
10.Skilled communicator with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
11.Excellent organization, prioritization and analytical skills.
12.Ability to work in a team environment.
13.Resourceful and Responsive with good follow-through.
14.Willingness to adopt and promote company’s policies and best practices and comply with standard operating procedures.
15.Good time management with the ability to meet performance guidelines.
COMPENSATION: commensurate with experience, base will range $65 – 80k + commission, target compensation range is $160k with no cap
