Coordinates manufacturing operations for the semiconductor market globally.
Drives the efficiency and cost effective production of company products.
Responsible for the co-ordination of various manufacturing functions, and processes within multiple facilities.
Formulates policies, programs, and objectives affecting the production schedule, product quality, and cost of manufactured products.
Drives and delivers on QCDMS objectives
Institute quality programs to meets or exceed quality standards.
Accountable for collaborating with other functions and regions on a global scale to develop and execute business expansion plans, maximizing capacity, revenue and margin growth with strong business cases for investment.
Effectively drives reductions in cost of goods sold and capital efficiency.
Maintains a deep understanding of productivity and plant efficiency, and delivers on expected performance.
Collaborates with Commercial and Technology functions on new product development, rapid prototyping, pilot operations, and implementation of manufacturing capability.
Collaborates globally across the organization with other Market/Product segments of the business (Automotive, House Hold Durables, Defense, Oil & Gas, Machinery & Equipment, Power, Electronics, Healthcare, LCD Equipment and all other relevant Markets/Products).
Operates in alignment with Corporate strategy by providing superior Customer Value, developing strong relationships, new solutions and effectively and efficiently meeting their needs.
Maintains a shared accountability for profit margin with strong financial acumen to deliver on cost and working capital targets.
Reviews and analyzes reports, records, and directives, and confers with managers/supervisors to obtain data required for planning activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress, and problems encountered.
Responsible for collaborating with Human Resources on the execution of the overall Global Talent strategy within the assigned region.
Accountable along with EH&S for establishing strong processes and programs supporting a culture of safety and the safe operations of facilities within his or her assigned span of control.
Champions data-driven, continuous improvement efforts, in a solutions-oriented environment. Supports and helps to implement new ideas.
*Bachelorís Degree in Engineering or related field plus 15 years of related work experience.
*The candidate must have 15 years progressive manufacturing, leadership and strategy experience which will include knowledge of implementing/applying Lean, SPC, Six Sigma or other TQM process improvement methodologies in a manufacturing environment.
*Additionally, requires extensive knowledge and expertise in manufacturing (ceramics or materials manufacturing preferred).
*Knowledge and deployment of state-of-the-art manufacturing practices (including continuous flow and batch processes) as well as quality and continuous improvement techniques, strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication, interpersonal effectiveness, and leadership.
